The delightful house is set in gardens with lawns and fruit trees and surrounded by the estate vineyards and kiwi plantations providing many pleasant areas for walks and picnics.

Within the farm is the 'adega' for the production of the famous local Vinho Verde wine. In late September the wine harvest is an interesting time with the vineyards full of local people picking the grapes, the roads with old trailers taking the grapes to the adegas and old presses being used to extract the grape juice.

The house is 4 km. from Barcelos which is a small Roman town and every Thursday it hosts the most famous market in Portugal. The town also has many small restaurants offering good cheap Minho cooking.

Within easy reach by car are Braga and Porto (Oporto), the latter famous for the Port Wine Lodges on the opposite bank of the river where you have the opportunity to become an expert on the production and taste of the many varieties.

The coastal Atlantic beaches are 12 km away and golf courses about 10 km. away including the highly acclaimed Ponte de Lima mountain course.

The house has three double rooms and one family suite suitable for 2 adults and 3 children. All bedrooms have ensuite bath or shower rooms. Each room has a door leading out into the inner courtyard of the quinta.

The buffet breakfast is served in a dining room with views over the valley to the mountains beyond.

In the house there is a large living room with a bar available. Outside there is a barbecue area and a spacious swimming pool together with a games court for tennis, basket ball etc.

The water supply is from a private well providing the very best drinking water.

The swimming pool will not be available in May 2009.
