Opened in 2006, the Pestana Sintra Golf Resort and Spa Hotel is on the Quinta da Beloura residential complex. It is three kilometres from the centre of Sintra, classified as Unesco World Heritage site.
Sintra is close to the coastal resorts of Cascais and Estoril and is within easy reach to the Portuguese capital Lisbon and the airport. Overlooking the Sintra hills, the hotel is located on the 18 hole Quinta da Beloura golf course, designed by Rocky Roquemore. The Hotel has 137 bedrooms, including superior rooms, suites and mezzanine suites with fully equipped kitchenettes, rooms for the disabled, non smoking and connecting rooms.

Services at the hotel include room service, laundry service and medical assistance. Conference and meeting facilities are also available. All rooms enjoy from natural light and have wireless internet access as well as all the necessary support services. Events or cocktails may also be organized in the outside central patio. Activities in the area include sightseeing tours, boat tours and a large number of entertainment venues including the Casino in Estoril. Beaches such as Praia das Macas and Guincho are also within easy access by car of the Hotel.
While in the area, visit the Serra de Sintra with its fabulous collection of historic buildings from different epochs, ranging from prehistoric times to the present day.
Thanks to its unique micro climate, Sintra has some of the most beautiful parks in Portugal. In nearby Cascais there are many fish and seafood restaurants on the sea front. Lisbon, Portugal's capital, is a short journey away and features some of the country's famous sights. Buildings such as the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, Torre de Belem and the Castle of Sao Jorge are definitely worth visiting. Try a night visit to the upper district of Bairro Alto in Lisbon for the traditional Fado singing.
