The rooms have either a king sized bed or two single beds.  Some of the double rooms have a sofa bed, suitable for one adult or two children, in the sitting area.

The suites also have a kitchenette which can be closed off behind doors.

All rooms are air conditioned and have a private bathroom and television.

Small personal touches like a basket of fruit, water and wine produced locally are also included.

There is a bar and two restaurants available for guests, one being self service.  In addition, there is a 'Tasca' the Portuguese equivalent of dining in a tavern.

An indoor swimming pool and fitness centre will shortly be available to take off the added pounds.

The main attraction at the resort are the many outdoor activities available which will challenge most people.

These include swimming, tennis, golf, mountain biking, paint ball, badminton, football training area, volleyball, 4 wheel drive circuit and fitness circuit.

Some activities are for groups only and some must be booked in advance.

There is also a children's club, barbecue area and cyber cafe.

If all that isn't enough, visitors may also care to visit Peneda-Geres, the only National Park in Portugal, the Douro River wine growing region, the Ribeira area of Porto with the Port Wine Lodges across the river and, Guimaraes which is a World Heritage Site.

Also of interest is the Vinho Verde wine growing region and, a little further Foz Coa Archaeological Park, another World Heritage Site.
