This beach has become increasingly popular over the years.

The nearby coastal road has several large restaurants specialising in locally caught fish dishes.  The restaurants all have varying, breathtaking views of the breaking rollers from their terraces.

Cascais is now a major resort and is very popular in the summer months and also at weekends.  It has three beaches along its beautiful esplanade and is very well served with a regular train service from Lisbon.
