Once you enter through the narrow, main gate of the estate you leave the outside world behind and enter a timeless garden of ponds and lakes and century old trees.

The noises of the modern world are dimmed as the sound of birds singing takes over.

The ivy covered Manor House, which has a private chapel, stands in the centre and is in perfect harmony with it's surroundings.

The Cottage is surrounded by hydrangeas which border the small lawn forming the private garden to the cottage.

A short walk away is the large swimming pool set in the extensive lawns on which children are welcome to play.

Adults may also practice their golf in this area. A flock of sheep graze in an adjoining field owned by the Quinta.

The dimensions of the pool are 12 metres by 4 metres.  At the side is an extension of 4 metres square with wide steps designed for children to play in shallow water whilst supervised by their parents.

The pool is shared with guests staying at the Manor House. The owners of the house and their family retain the right to use the pool.

Nearby is an attractive shaded water garden, which is an island, connected by a bridge, standing in a small lake. Many of the brides living in the area come here to have their wedding photographs taken in this beautiful setting.

This Cottage has an unusual layout, the rooms are in a row connected by an external patio and a veranda.

The old kitchen has been converted into a small living room with an open log fire. The old bread oven has been retained as a feature.

A small kitchen area contains a sink unit, 4 burner cooker, refrigerator and a dining area. There is a washing machine in an outbuilding.

The door leads out onto a vine covered patio area suitable for dining outside whilst using the portable barbecue.

From the terrace, a veranda leads to the bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double bed and a walk-in clothes storage area. A door leads off to the bathroom which also has an external door to the veranda.

The second bedroom has twin beds and has access to the same bathroom via the veranda. A cot and high chair are available, if required.

The owner has advised us that he can arrange the following activities, water skiing, jet skiing, mountain bikes, mountain walks, 4 wheel drive bikes, horse riding, abseiling and guided walks. We have no further information about these facilities.

The estate is approximately 10 miles from Braga, the religious capital of Portugal, and approximately 15 miles from the National Park of Peneda Geres.
