It is within easy access to the local beaches and the interesting towns of Viana do Castelo, Ponte de Lima and Braga.

The main house was rebuilt by the son of the first owner who was an immigrant from Brazil. For that reason the house has many features typical of 19th Century Brazilian architecture.  From the house there are delightful views over the property and the surrounding area.

Moved by his love for nature and the rural environment, the owner has incorporated all the facilities and quality necessary to ensure the comfort of his guests' whilst at the same time, maintaining the original features and architecture of the house.

The beautiful lawned areas surrounding the property are very well maintained and the two, comfortably furnished cottages are located approximately 40 metres from the main house in two self contained buildings.

Casa do Meio has 1 twin bedroom, 2 double bedrooms, fireplace, central heating, television, telephone and hairdryer. The twin bedroom has a separate shower room and the double bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms. There is a sofa bed suitable for one adult or two children. In addition, there is an extra bed suitable for one child.

The kitchenette has a cooker with four hobs and oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and toaster.

Casa da Eira is air conditioned and has one double bedroom, and one twin bedroom, separate shower room, telephone and television. There is also a sofa bed in the living room suitable for one adult or two children. The kitchenette is equipped with a cooker with four hobs and oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and toaster.

Guests staying at the cottages may use the living room with television and pool table located in the main house.

The swimming pool is 7 meters wide by 14 meters long. By the pool there is a changing room with shower. There is also a laundry with washing machine.

While in the area you may care to take a trip to nearby Barcelos market which is held every Thursday. It is one of the largest markets in Europe and you can buy anything from a pair of socks to a yoke for your ox!! It’s a great place to soak up the true market atmosphere and practice your haggling skills.

The historic old Port of Viana do Castelo is approximately eighteen kilometres to the north. This beautiful town has narrow cobbled streets, balconied houses, a marina, and lots of good and inexpensive restaurants in which to sample the typical Minho cuisine together with the local Vinho Verde wine.

At Quinta da Foz dos Castelhanos there is a covered terrace and a barbecue area, ideal for outdoor dining.  Meals can be served if ordered 24 hours in advance.
