The Tagus river flows south here and enters the sea at Lisbon. Two motorways come to the area from Lisbon enabling a long day of sight seeing. The resort of Nazare is interesting and the fishermen' wives can still be seen in their traditional clothes, The old walled town of Obidos used the be the traditional gift of the king to his wife on marriage.
