Alto Minho |
Alto Minho is one of the most beautiful regions in Portugal. It has mountains, rivers and beaches to visit. It is known as "Costa Verde" (Green Coast) since the weather is temperate and the vegetation remains green in the small fields. It has old village traditions and splendid town architecture from the days of the great wealth of Portugal. Portugal’s only National Park, Peneda – Geres is in this region and the Porto / Douro Region. |

Oporto and Douro |
Porto (Oporto) has the old riverside area which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Across the river are the Port Wine 'caves’ which are a major tourist attraction. Up river terraced vineyards lead down to the river while near the Spanish border are pre-historic rock paintings. The area has many old towns, including Guimaraes, the first capital of Portugal. There are a number of self catering cottages in this region.

Beiras region |
The Beiras region, south of Porto, is one of tremendous contrasts of the ancient and modern, seaside and mountains, forests and plains. There are long sandy beaches, pine forests and wildlife reserves providing a wealth of flora and fauna. We have a couple of self catering cottages in this region.

Tagus region |
The Tagus River flows south through Lisbon on its way to the ocean. Many interesting towns are situated near its banks and the coastal region of 'Costa Prata' including the walled town of Obidos which is where most of the self catering accommodation is located. This area has many old monasteries and the pilgrimage town of Fatima.

Lisbon region |
Lisbon is the capital city of Portugal with many hotels and self catering villas and cottages in the surrounding countryside. Lisbon is a very beautiful and interesting city with many places to visit. There are calm beaches and golf courses nearby and beautiful coastal towns such as Cascais and Sintra. The Sintra-Cascais Natural Park is in this region.

Alentejo |
Inland, the vast golden wheat fields undulate in the wind, along the coast are unspoiled beaches and coves of high cliffs sheltering small bays. This is an area of few people who often live in old towns near one of the hotels in the Pousada group. We offer a few self catering cottages in the Alentejo region.

Algarve |
The south coast of Portugal where the sea is warm and calm. The beaches are among the best in the world often sheltered by rocks with strange formations. The Algarve has 30 golf courses which rank among the best in Europe. For self catering in this region we offer superb accommodation at one of the Algarve’s top resorts.
