Conditions of Car Hire
The conditions of reservation in respect
of contracts for arranging car hire are as follows::-
MAINLAND PORTUGAL
Car Hire Prices Include: (unless shown otherwise
in the Car Hire price panel)

Unlimited mileage

Insurance for fire and third party cover (exclusive
of PAI and contents)

Collision damage waiver (this means that you are
protected subject to any excess for which you may be responsible, against
the cost of any damage to the car). In case of accidental damage
to the car, an on-the-spot statement by the guilty party and a police report
must be made, enabling you to protect your excess payment.

19% Government Tax
-
Delivery and collection within office hours at
the airports of Lisbon, Porto and Faro and the local city.
Algarve - all resorts.

Pick up here and drop off there throughout Portugal
within offices and airports in Lisbon (city and coast), Porto and Algarve.

Maintenance and replacement in case of breakdown.
-
Free additional driver.

All prices are based on the starting rental date,
unless otherwise stated in the Car Hire price panel

TPC (Theft Protection Cover), subject to Excess

arranged and paid for on collection.

Car contents insurance, garaging, refuelling charges,
parking and traffic fines.

Delivery/collection out of office hours at airports
will incur a local charge of 25 Euros between midnight and 7.00 am. (There
will be no charge to clients with delayed flights)

Delivery / Collection freewitin 20 kilometers
of rental stations. Outside the mentioned areas there will be a charge
of 0.50 Euros per kilometre (both ways) from the nearest office or airport
(subject to change)

Spain insurance - per service: Approx 50 Euros

Baby seat per day: 3.50 Euros (maximum 50 Euros)

Roof rack per day: 3.50 Euros (maximum 50 Euros)

All the quoted prices are payable in advance and
exclude VAT at 19%
Please note: Car rental prices shown apply
only where car hire is booked prior to your departure. Prices may
not be comparable in your holiday resort, neither can availability be guaranteed.
The minimum rental bookable in advance is three days.

CAR HIRE - GENERAL INFORMATION

Cars will normally be picked up from the airport,
city, office or delivered to your hotel or apartment during office hours
(Monday to Friday) however this is not guaranteed and you must contact
the car hire company yourself locally to re-confirm this service.
Cars should be returned or be ready for collection by the same time of
the last day of hire.

On delivery of the car, the driver(s) will be
asked to sign the car hire company's terms of hire making the rental the
subject of a direct contract between the car hire company and the driver.
Clients will then be subject to the terms and conditions of the contract
and the laws of the country in which the rental has taken place. Neither
Portugala holidays nor Manor Houses of Portugal Promotions shall not be
responsible for any loss, damage, injury or accident arising from or by
persons outside its control. Please check the car is in order according
to the contract. Check the petrol tank level, check the car for any
scratches or faults and, if any, make sure that they are detailed in the
contract before you sign it. The vehicle may only be driven by persons
authorized in advance on the contract.
DRIVER REQUIREMENTS

Drivers must have a Full Driving Licence issued
by a member country of the European Union, a Full Driving Licence
issued by the United States of America, or an International Diving Licence
and a minimum of one years driving experience.

DO REMEMBER TO TAKE YOU DRIVING LICENCE AND KEEP
IT WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES

It is important that you carry your Driving Licence
and identity card/passport with you in case you get stopped by the
police. Failure to do this will result in a fine.

Car Hire is calculated on a 24 hour basis.
If the car is returned late, this will result in an additional days car
hire local rate charge which is considerably in excess of the charges in
this agreement.
Special note
No refunds on prepaid hire will be made if
the rental is refused for the total or partial duration of the rental period
due to the clients failure to produce valid documentation or if the client
is not eligible to drive because of age limitations set out above or under
the influence of drugs or alcohol.
We regret we cannot make refunds for any services
which have been paid for but are not used for any reason irrespective of
any statement to the contrary by the supplier of the service
Cancellation Charges
Should you or any member of your party be
forced to cancel your booking after it has been accepted, the effective
date for the cancellation will be the date that written confirmation is
received by fax, post or e-mail.
In the event of a cancellation, a cancellation
charge (being agreed damages to cover the estimated loss) calculated on
the scale set out below become payable by the signatory of the Booking
Form or the named person on the invoice.
